Fife Lake, MI, May 26, 2022– Forest Area Federal Credit Union (FAFCU) has provided $15,000 in scholarships to qualifying high school students in Fife Lake, Mesick, Manton, Lake City, Kalkaska, and Kingsley.
FAFCU offers a business scholarship of $500 to students from each of the following high schools; Forest Area High School, Kalkaska High School, Kingsley High School, Manton Consolidated High School, and Lake City High School. This year a total of 30 scholarships were granted, totaling $15,000, which is the largest number to date.
Applicants must have an active membership at Forest Area Federal Credit Union, be majoring in a business-related field, such as accounting or business administration, and have a high school GPA of 3.0 or higher. “We are committed to giving back to our communities and this is a great way to help local students with the costs of higher education,” said Alex Lutke, CEO of FAFCU.
